Another 15-25 mms of Rain on the Way to Parry Sound

There is a special weather statement issued for The Town Of Parry Sound and surrounding areas.

Rain is expected to move into areas near Georgian Bay later today. The rain is likely to be heaviest tonight. The ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rain due to recent rains and snowmelt.

General rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 millimetres are expected by Wednesday.The rain will change to snow later Wednesday as temperatures get colder. There is a possibility that snowfall accumulations may exceed 10 cm along with some blowing snow.
There is also a risk of freezing rain during the changeover from rain to snow.
The snow is expected to taper off Wednesday night.
