Special Weather Statement in effect for the Town of Parry Sound and surrounding areas. A low pressure area will bring a significant precipitation event to Southern Ontario on Tuesday. Accumulating snow and several hours of freezing rain are possible with some rain also possible for areas closer to Lake Ontario.
There is still considerable uncertainty to the track of the low pressure area. Which will affect how much snow, freezing rain, or rain will fall in a particular location.
Hazardous winter travelling conditions can be expected across Southern Ontario.
TODAY
Flurries at times heavy. Local blowing snow. Amounting to 5 cm’s. Wind southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming northwest 40 gusting to 60 this afternoon. We should see a high minus 1.
TONIGHT
Partly cloudy. 40 percent chance of flurries this evening and after midnight. Wind northwest 20 km/h becoming light late this evening. Low minus 15.
TOMORROW
Periods of snow. Amounting to between 2 to 4 cm. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h near noon. High minus 4. Tomorrow night will be Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of flurries and a low minus 6.
