Parry Sound Islanders 2nd Round of Playoffs Starts Tonight

The Parry Sound Islanders handed the Bradford Bulls a swift 3 game sweep to advance to the second round of playoffs. The Islanders, who are the GMHL North Division’s second seed, will now face off against the powerhouse South Muskoka Shield in the Divisional Semi-Finals Best of 5 Series.

The Islanders have seen rounded support from all parts of the lineup. Every line contributed offensively to overtake the Bulls and the Parry Sound Islanders plan on using their depth in the next series against the Shield.

In the season series, Parry Sound won 3 of 4 games and are favoured to come away victorious as the higher seed.

The Shield are coming off a nail biting 5 game series against Almaguin which wore them down physically. Parry Sound enters well rested and mentally prepared.
