Parry Sound Islanders Take Game 1 of The North Division Finals

The Parry Sound Islanders kicked off the Russell Cup North Division Final with a win over the New Tecumseth Civics on Thursday night.

The game was pretty even the whole night until the 3rd period. They went into the 3rd tied 1-1 and that’s when the Islanders decided to explode offensively scoring 4 goals in the 3rd and winning the game 5-2. Shot totals were 32 for the Islanders and 44 for the Civics.

The Islanders will look to build on their 1-0 series lead Friday night at the Humphrey Community Centre. Puck drops at 7:30pm. Be sure to head over to Humphrey and cheer on your Parry Sound Islanders!
