Another 30 to 50 mm of Rain on the Way

There is a rainfall warning in effect for the Town of Parry Sound and surrounding area.

Rain, heavy at times is expected. The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall.

Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are expected tonight and Thursday.

 
Rain will begin this evening and continue Thursday. Rain will change to snow late Thursday.

 
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. While driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance as visibility could be reduced. Don’t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall warnings are issued for amounts of 25 mm or more in 24 hours or less when the ground is saturated.
