Freezing rain has begun and will last for several hours before changing to rain later tonight.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Road closures are possible. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
TONIGHT: Freezing rain mixed with ice pellets changing to snow after midnight. Snow and ice pellet amount 2 to 4 cm. Wind southeast 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming southwest 40 gusting to 60 near midnight. Low minus 5.
TOMORROW: Periods of light snow ending in the morning then mainly cloudy. Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50. Temperature falling to minus 10 in the afternoon.
