Parry Sound Pizza Chef Maurizio Takes Home Gold in Romania

Last month Maurizio of Maurizio’s Pizzeria won 1st place in The Canadian Culinary Federation’s 1st annual Pizza Championship in Toronto. Maurizio then went on to represent Canada at the International Pizza Championship in Bucharest, Romania last week (March 4 to 6, 2017)

After facing tough International competition all week, the awards ceremony was held this afternoon (March 5, 2017). Maurizio took home Gold for his Apple Bacon Cheddar Pizza as well as taking home Silver for his Vegan Pizza and Bronze for his classic Pepperoni.

Maurizio has made Canada proud and of course Parry Sound. We are extremely happy to have him and his award winning pizza in Parry Sound.
